This project was a large renovation project, 110,000sf and needed to be complete in a short time period (5 months). Prior to bidding, The Walter Fedy Partnership interviewed contractors to bid on this project, at this interview, we had to show we were capable of doing the project and had to submit a schedule to show how we could complete the project in this time period. The schedule had to be met for classes scheduled to start in September.
The project scope included
demolition
fire rated doorways
complete new computer labs, kitchen facilities for the culinary program
new shops for electrical, welding and carpenter apprentices
steel studding, insulating the total exterior walls
spray fire proofing the underside of the 2nd floor (40,000sf)
some roof replacements
90% of the building repainted
some new flooring
new sprinkler system thru out the building
replacement of hot water heating system
some new HVAC equipment & ductwork
mostly new lighting thru out
fire alarm upgrade thru out
We are proud to say that this project was completed on schedule with very few problems. The owner and consultants were very happy with our performance.
